Plattenschieber MG DN 500

Mining – the supreme discipline

Few applications put shut-off valves to the test as thoroughly as mining. This copper mine is no exception. Abrasive slurries with a solids content of around 25% are pumped through pipes and valves at pressures of up to 16 bar. The valve bodies were therefore made of stainless steel, with the gate itself made of duplex steel. A wear ring provides additional protection against abrasion. The double transverse seal ensures that no leaks occur even at high pressures.

More than 25 of these electrically operated valves with nominal sizes between DN 100 and 500 will be installed in the copper mine.
