These knife gate valves VL are operated with a single acting cylinder. In case of a failure of compressed air, the valve closes automatically to prevent further damage. The cylinder is also equipped with an air filter and pressure regulator. Limit switches and solenoid valves are Ex d flameproof certified and the stainless steel tubing adds to the overall resistance of the valve design.

These valves will soon be installed at a petrochemical plant in China.
