MG SERIES
Knife gate valves with an EN 558/ISO 5752 20 series face to face often quickly reach their pressure limit values of 10 bar – but not our MG series. For the same face to face, it is generally designed for pressures of up to 16 bar. Of course, we retained the many design features that have always set the Wey knife gate valve apart from the competition.

Most known pipe-cleaning methods (e.g., pigs, brush cylinders, etc.) can be used with the body bore, resulting in minimal pressure drops.

With its optimized gate geometry, accumulated media is pushed out of the gate guide and flushed out into the bore by the increased flow.

The gate is mechanically guided over the full stroke.

In the closed end position, the gate is also mechanically supported.

A unique transverse seal, consisting of a transverse seal profile and packing compound, makes the body bubble-tight towards the atmosphere.

The transverse seal can be repacked at any time and under full pressure using the lateral packing screws.

A mechanically retained round cord seal creates a bubble-tight shut off on the gate edge.

Robust 4-post topwork for maximum load and a wide variety of actuator types.

The non-rising stem in the manual actuator saves space and provides good mechanical power transmission.

Full free passage
Pipelines leading into open waters always bear the risk of deposits caused by mussels or other organic material. To ensure that regular cleaning by pigging can be carried out without any problems, we manufacture our valves in a full bore version at the customer's request.

Compact and heat resistant
For this manually operated knife gate valve MG DN100, special attention was paid to the selection of materials. They must withstand temperatures of up to 240°C during subsequent use in a power plant.

Super duplex for extra resistance
Seawater is considered to be one of the most corrosive natural environments on earth. For an offshore application in Denmark we therefore designed a Wey knife gate valve MG DN 1200 whose body and gate are made of super duplex stainless steel. With a PREN value of >42 super duplex makes the valve perfectly resistant against corrosion in its future environment.

These two knife gate valves MG DN 400 recently left our production site for a Brazilian plant working on water treatment and the disposal of industrial effluents.
