Repairing instead of replacing
Most valves are designed to be in service for years - depending on the application and with the right care even for decades. But in some industries, wear can be extremely high. We design our knife gate valves in a way that makes it possible to repair and replace the most critical individual parts, thus extending their service life by several years.
The knife gate valve VK on the picture was installed in the combustion chamber of a paper mill. In our repair shop, we disassembled and cleaned the valve, reground the plate and replaced the gliders. Within only one week the knife gate valve was restored and ready for use again.
