Butterfly and check valves
Our butterfly and check valves with modular designs work impeccably, even under tough conditions, and are easy to maintain. Both the design and the use of materials are based on many years of technical and practical experience. Available in nominal diameters from DN 25 to DN 2500, in various materials and housing shapes and with different actuators, we can configure Wey valves to meet any individual requirement.

Basic knowledge: Butterfly valves
Butterfly valves are used to control liquids or gases in pipelines. The valve is installed in the pipeline. When actuated, the valve disc rotates around its own axis, thereby opening or closing the pipeline. Butterfly valves are more space-saving, cost-effective, and low-maintenance than most other shut-off valves. They are particularly suitable for clean liquid or gaseous media and are used, for example, in drinking water treatment, wastewater treatment, or biogas production. For applications with a high solids content, a knife gate valve is often the better choice.
Check valves prevent the medium from flowing back in pipelines. The medium pressure opens the valve automatically when the flow is forward and closes it when the flow is reversed – without any additional drive. Check valves are mainly used in water treatment.
