Wey Full Bore knife gate valve
In the original Wey knife gate valve design, the gate guidances protrude into the left and right sides of the bore. This design allows the gate and chest area to be kept particularly short while most cleaning methods can still be used.
However, some special pigs require a full passage. For these applications, our knife gate valves are designed with gate guidances outside the bore, as in the case of this knife gate valve MF DN 1200, which will be used for thermal heat recovery from lake water. Many Swiss lakes are populated with the invasive quagga mussel today, which makes regular cleaning of the pipelines essential.
