BEST PROTECTED AGAINST HEAT BY FAR
Normally, we keep the topwork of our knife gate valves as short as possible. In this case, at the customer's request, we made an exception and extended the column construction and piston rod by 200 mm.
The sand-gravel mixture conveyed through these valves can reach up to 250°C and in order to operate the knife gate valves by handwheel, the wheel must be mounted far enough away from the hot pipeline.
The body and columns of the knife gate valve are specially coated to resist the high temperatures. The PTFE sealing is especially heat resistant. In the passage, a Ni-Hard wear ring protects against abrasion.
The MF DN 125 knife gate valves will soon be installed at a plant in Denmark.
