Double protection
The sludge that is pumped through the pipes and valves of a wastewater treatment plant in Northern Europe can reach temperatures of up to 200°C. The MF DN 50 knife gate valve used for this purpose has therefore been given a special coating and a gate made of duplex steel to protect it against the heat.
To minimize the risk during inspection work, the handwheel can be securely fixed in place with a built-in padlock.
