Challenging flow regulation
For a wastewater application in Poland, this knife gate valve must not only shut off reliably. When open, the valve must also regulate the flow and withstand abrasion from gravel and debris. For this purpose, the passage was not only equipped with a V-notch insert, but also with additional stainless steel wear plates. The special feature of this design is that, unlike the V-notch insert, the wear plates are not cast directly into the housing and can be replaced if they become heavily worn.
Despite its enormous size of DN 1400, this knife gate valve can withstand pressures of up to 6 bar. A special coating makes it weatherproof.
