VN series
The VN series combines all the properties of a knife gate valve in an inexpensive semi-lug flange design, in order to meet the most common market requirements. With this series, we guarantee the greatest possible functional and operational safety, in an easy-to-maintain, optimized design. We guarantee a 100 % bidirectional bubble-tight shut off over the entire pressure range. For many applications this results in a balanced cost-benefit ratio in terms of investment and maintenance.

The robust metal yoke enables the optimal, simple assembly of mechanical or inductive limit switches. The yoke can be removed from one side. This makes it easier to access the mechanical parts.

With its optimized gate geometry, accumulated media is pushed out of the gate guide and flushed out into the bore by the increased flow.

A unique transverse seal, consisting of a transverse seal profile and packing compound, makes the body bubble-tight towards the atmosphere.

The transverse seal can be repacked at any time and under full pressure using the lateral packing screws.

A mechanically retained round cord seal creates a bubble-tight shut off on the gate edge.

The gate is mechanically guided over the full stroke.

In the closed end position, the gate is also mechanically supported.

The add-on Weyotine cutter-pack can be used to cut long-fiber media, preventing jamming and blockages.

Fail-safe function
Safety first: Thanks to an added air vessel, this Wey knife gate valve VN closes automatically in the event of a power or compressed air failure. Two of these valves will be shipped to the Netherlands soon and installed in a waste incineration plant.

VNC with Hastelloy alloy
Corrosion resistancy at its best: The body and gate of this pneumatic actuated knife gate valve VN have a Hastelloy C22 alloy. PTFE gliders make sure the two materials don’t damage each other. The topwork is made of stainless steel, just like the tubing and the solenoid valve. The whole knife gate valve is ATEX certified for zones 0/20 (inner area) and 1/21 (outer area).

Size isn't everything
No challenge is too small to give our best. In our production facilities we can manufacture knife gate valves with a nominal size of up to 2000mm - but also small valves with DN 50.

Knife gate valves as far as the eye can see
For a single mining project in Indonesia, we were able to manufacture knife gate valves with nominal diameters from 150 to 1200. Since we manufacture all valves in the same production plant in Switzerland, production is carried out in stages. 33 of these manually operated knife gate valves VN DN 400 alone are currently ready for delivery.
